CURRENTLY AT
NBCUniversal
Currently at NBCUniversal working with the interdisciplinary UX team responsible for NBC’s award-winning, multi-platform, multi-network streaming app.
I design app features, user flows, spec guidelines, and prototypes for NBC's One App. This app reaches millions of viewers and combines all of NBCUniversal's brand networks and content into a single app that spans web, mobile, and connected device platforms. Our app has been recognized by Apple as a "Best in Class tvOS App".
Premium Shelf
I led the design of a "Premium Shelf" on the tvOS platform, a special shelf showcasing collections of show and movie content in a way that is visually distinct from standard shelves on NBC's app. I designed and prototyped the feature and created animation spec documentation for the animation-heavy shelf design.

Brand Landing Page Redesign
I led the redesign and implementation of NBC One App's Brand Landing pages across various platforms, where individual NBC Networks and their respective content are showcased. I redesigned the page layout, worked with the Product and Development teams throughout the implementation process, and instituted templates and guidelines for brand artwork on the new page.

Post-Video CTA Notification
I designed a CTA notification modal that appears after mobile video content on One App, enticing users to sign up for Peacock, NBCUniversal's new streaming service.

NBC.com Accessibility
Disability impacts 1/3 American households and 1.5 billion people on the planet. Users with disabilities are an underserved population, and our goal was to change that by making accessibility improvements to our website.
We updated and redesigned a variety of experiences, including voiceover labels, tab focus states for users using keyboards only, a play/pause button for auto-advancing carousels, and a brand new Closed Captioning menu for the NBC.com video player.
This work was done cross-functionally as a collaboration between Design, Engineering, Product, and our Accessibility Director.
What we learned:
+ Consider accessibility early on in the process
+ Make accessibility a core principle, not just an edge case
+ Work collaboratively across teams for the best, most accessible user experience
